Txantsan! I am truly amazed at how far and wide Na’vi seems to spread. I wonder if Klingon also tends to show up in unusual and unexpected places?

A beautiful aircraft and I hope that it receives the praise and recognition it deserves. It’s a wonderful work of art that I believe even people who are not fans of the film can appreciate and enjoy. It’s the icing on the cake that they used the Na’vi word “tsamsiyu” to name their aircraft.

    Greetings,

My wife and I built the RV-3 that we know (and you have seen) as Tsamsiyu, and it truly is the most delightful aircraft that I have ever flown – and I have been flying and testing aircraft for forty years. The choice of paint and name was clearly inspired by the Ikrans of the film, and it is so sensitive that one barely moves the controls through an entire aerobatic routine – it the closest we can come to flying by thought. It has received a warm welcome in the experimental aircraft community, and we are pleased that it has been welcomed here as well.

From one Paul to another: Kaltxì ulte zola’u nìprrte’! Hello and welcome! Thanks for dropping by and sharing more about the evolution of your beautiful creation. It sounds as if your experience flying Tsamsiyu approaches what the Na’vi feel when they’re bonded to their ikrans via the neural interface called tsaheylu: an effortless connection that as you say is like flying by thought.

Are there any videos of Tsamsiyu in action that you could share with us? That would be wonderful to see!

Thanks again, Paul, and if you ever need any more Na’vi for your projects, don’t hesitate to ask.

We don’t have a video from outside Tsamsiyu, but here is a link to a YouTube that was taken with a camera mounted on my head, inside the cockpit, that folks might enjoy. It gives you an idea of what it is like to fly this wonderful bird.
